I have loved horses ever since I can remember and got my first horse at 11. Later on I left school to work in racing stables and study horses via a horse traineeship. After a few years I left working with horses to concentrate on my own, doing the odd shows, rides and generally having fun and furthering my studies on them. I am now 35 and have three horses including my first.
I am married and have 2 little men. We live in a rural area of Victoria and are lucky enough have a bit of land. It’s a great place for the boys to grow up and our horses and other assorted animals live with us also.
Over the years I have gained a good knowledge and have had many experiences with horses, especially difficult to handle ones. From working in stables and being at agistment centres I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to handling horses. Also having a hard to handle horse myself has also taught me so much.
So I wanted to create this website to share my own thoughts and ways and also to create a good resource of facts and information. I am also in the middle of developing a store website that will sell gifts such as t-shirts, books, posters etc. I started off working with horses and I hope to end up doing that in a different way.
So I hope you enjoy The Outback Hoof….
Thanks Elizabeth
